Ashley’s Tale
By Mike Duke

It’s been two years since Ashley was abducted and thrust into a horrifying ordeal that changed her life for good. In the aftermath, her world fell apart; any sense of connection with friends and family were severed by Jake’s legacy. She sees the world through his eyes now—a filter of dark strength, power, and violence. As a social pariah, after desperately struggling for months to find a place where she could belong, Ashley decides there’s only one option left to her …

She must go back to Jake.

Editorial Review

The Initiation is the third and final book in the Ashley’s Tale Series. This book had no previous edition. It was written during the course of preparing the new editions of the first two. Like the first two, this book contains some very disturbing and brutal content. The tension and intensity are relentless and merciless, and it is very hard to put down once you start reading. This conclusion to the Ashley’s Tale series reaches new levels of depth and psychological horror, and you might not be the same after reading it.

About the Author: Mike Duke

“I was a cop for 12 years, but the last 10 years I’ve been teaching Military, Law Enforcement and Bodyguards how to drive fast, do bad ass tactical driving maneuvers as well as hand to hand Combatives. I enjoy martial arts and have been a practitioner since 1989 of various styles. Filipino blade arts are my favorite. Since I was a teenager I’ve loved reading, writing, and watching movies…particularly in the horror genre. I’ve also been a prolific reader of theology and studied quite extensively for a layman. I have a beautiful wife who is very supportive and a son and daughter her are both graduated and out of the house. My baby girl now is my German Shepherd, Ziva. And she’s a Daddy’s girl who loves to play…even when I’m writing. Most recently, Stitched Smile Publications has picked up my novel LOW and I’m part of their family now. Looking forward to publishing lots of work with them!”
