Review

John R. Little’s My Quirky Little Memoir: Confessions of a Small Press Writer is not an autobiography, though it does have some fun (and not so fun) facts and anecdotes about his life. It is, as he states within, a memoir about his writing journey, and it is a delightfully engrossing read. I read the first half of the book in one sitting because I was loathe to put it down.

Authors and aspiring authors will thoroughly enjoy Little’s insight into his writing processes and experiences with magazines, publishers, cover artists, other authors, and other contacts. Fans and soon-to-be fans will be thoroughly entertained by Little’s style and journey and personal anecdotes. If you haven’t read his work before, this will make you want to.

Entertaining, evocative, and insightful, this is an excellent reading experience. When I finished and closed the book, I said, “Wow,” out loud to no one and everyone.
